Individuals who plan to stay long term in Indonesia who want to do business, work or study in Indonesia must apply for the visa KITAS.
This visa is issued for 1 year with possibility of extension up to 5 years.
KITAS there are several types:
Work Visa KITAS (index 312)
Family visa KITAS (index 317/318)
KITAS for students (index 316)
Retirement Visa KITAS (index 319)
Individuals apply for a visa of this type during the term of the can:
  • Served in hospitals at a reduced price
  • There may be discounts at restaurants, hotels and other public facilities
  • Acquire and arrange their own travel agents
  • Get the Indonesian driving license
  • Can open accounts in banks
  • Can obtain visas to other countries, while in Indonesia (for example in the U.S., Australia, Schengen, etc.)
  • Check out the child in school
  • In some cases, after 5 years you can apply for conversion from KITAS to KITAP - a residence permit.
KITAS should receive the Embassy of Indonesia outside of Indonesia, however, to begin the process of preparing the documents necessary in advance, in the territory of the country.
The whole process looks like this:
You gather all the necessary paperwork and submit or send them to us. (A set of documents depends on the type of KITAS).
We will send the documents to the head office of Immigration in Jakarta. If this is a working visa, within two months of your application will be reviewed and approved, then it will be issued a special permit for a visa - TELEX.
In other cases the deadline for receipt of TELEX - about two weeks.
Further, to obtain KITAS, the Embassy of Indonesia to provide:
  • Passport
  • A completed application form
  • TELEX
  • Pay the application fee of $ 100
  • After arriving in Indonesia, within 7 days from the embassy received the documents must be provided to the immigration office.
We will do it for you and will make sure that all the formalities have been complied with at the time.
Upon completion of your hands be issued the following documents:
  • KITAS - Card (limited residence permit)
  • Blue Book (Blue Book) - Book of immigration
  • Yellow Book (Yellow Book) - a certificate from the police
  • STM - a report from the police
  • IKTA - work permit (in the case of obtaining a work visa KITAS)

These documents are valid 1 year. After this time you need to renew Kitase. Travel outside of Indonesia to extend is required.

In order to go anywhere out of the country during the period of validity of the visa must be obtained from the immigration office special permission to travel - Permit.

Upon expiry of the KITAS, it must cancel in the immigration office.
